Clothes Moth

Order Lepidoptera

• Appearance: Larvae are shiny, white worms about ½" long; adults have narrow fringed wings, are yellowish brown and also about ½" long.
• Habits: Prefer darkness; can disappear quickly if disturbed.
• Diet: Wool and other fabrics; fur; other protein-based materials.
• Reproduction: Adult females lay up to 200 eggs; larvae reach maturity in 35 days to two and one-half years; adults live 15-30 days.
• Other Information: Adult clothes moths are incapable of eating anything; it is the larvae which do all the damage.

Contract Types

As outlined in the Health & The Law, both FOOD and NON FOOD businesses are required by law to remain pest free and we tailor the needs of a wide variety of clients within the structure of three standards of annual contracts as follows:

• Basic:
  One visit for survey/treatment per quarter with fixed extra charges for additional services on demand within 24 working hours. Pest Control Service Report Book held by client and completed every survey/treatment.
• Standard:
  Eight visits per year (every six weeks) with all additional call outs free on demand within 24 working hours. Pest Control Service Report Book as above.
• Premier:
  As above but with the following additional free services. Treatment on alternate working days for all infestations until eradicated. Schedule of bait points/working practices throughout premises. Check list to record each and every Inspection/Treatment to each location throughout the premises. Six monthly written report by Management Staff.

Individual Treatment Prices

Within a radius of 50 miles from any operational office, we provide the following treatments within 24 working hours:

1. Rats & Mice: Minimum of three visits to lay poison bait, top up poisons and then remove them with all additional visits free of further charge. External bait points priced separately.
   Rodenticide Bait Treatment, 3 treatments- £ 90.00
2. Cockroaches: Minimum of two treatments with poison bait or spray as appropriate.
3. Pharaoh's Ants: Minimum of two treatments with hydramethylnon bait. Prices sometimes subject to survey.
4. Other Crawling Insects: Eradicated with one treatment.
5. Wasps: Eradicated with one treatment. Price for work above 2 metres normally subject to (free) survey.
6. Other Flying Insects: Normally subject to FREE survey.
   NB: All treatments are guaranteed to control the infestation and area will remain pest free for a minimum of six weeks. See separate price lists and note that we can usually offer a firm price by telephone.
7. Birds: We give a FREE survey and quotation to provide the following services:
   • Loft Clearance: Removal of debris and all birds. Proofing/repairing roof. Spray to eliminate mites/insects.
   • Bird Netting: Supply and fitting black & white, polythene/nylon netting to standard specifications with stainless steel fittings. Any shape or size.
   • Anti-Perch: Supply & Fit, Taut wire, Anti-Perch prongs, Bird repellent gel, Clearing up fouling.
   • Electronic Fly Killers: We provide a choice of three manufacturers, each of whom has an extensive and competitively priced range of fly killers. We retain selected stocks for instant delivery and/or fitting with or without replacement bulbs. We arrange an annual service for cleaning and bulb replacement. Fly Screens All shapes and sizes with free estimates.
